Who is Gayle.....
Born and raised in the Tacoma-Gig Harbor area, Gayle Orth has always had an intense interest in beautiful and delicious food. Self taught, Gayle’s experience in the field of the culinary arts has created a solid reputation of excellence. She began her catering career with a vision and untiring determination. With a fierce passion for quality and an uncompromising view of customer service, Gayle has built her business into one she is extremely proud of. Gayle and David, married for more than forty years, are the parents of two grown daughters and doting grandparents to two beautiful granddaughters and soon to be great grandson!
Who is David....
David Orth? Where would Gayle Orth Catering be without him? A commercial real estate broker for more than twenty years, David was always the support behind the scenes for Gayle. Several years ago, David, after much deliberation, decided that he would join the catering company full time and retire his broker’s license. His financial background and business experience have been invaluable to the success of Gayle Orth Catering. David and Gayle very much enjoy working together as a team, not only professionally, but personally as well. They love nothing more than to end their hectic days, at home in the kitchen, preparing a meal and relaxing.
The Position of Head Chef and Kitchen Manager took fourteen months to fill! Dylan Lindner was well worth waiting for. Incredibly talented, Dylan grew up in Kodiak, Alaska with a driven passion for all things FOOD!
Cooking professionally for ten years, Dylan is passionate about running a "from scratch" kitchen. In his free time, the "True Woods Gentleman" is an avid outdoorsman who revels in foraging the Pacific Northwest for seasonal ingredients, hiking and drawing illustrations of his discoveries.
Gayle Orth Catering is the perfect company to grow and expand Dylan's passion for food. Bringing his amazing talents to local farmers markets is this excellent chef's next goal. With his drive for excellence we're sure to garner a huge following!

New to Gayle Orth Catering is Hannah Smith, a native of Seattle, with a love for all things pastry. At a very young age, Hannah began her career creating desserts with her family, which includes her identical twin.
Leaving art school to pursue an apprenticeship at a renown French bakery in Seattle was the right decision for Hannah. After skyrocketing her pastry knowledge and mastering her craft, she is living her dream as Pastry Chef for Gayle Orth Catering.
Her infectious laugh, spark and creativity are helping to make special and delicious memories for our treasured clients. We are glad she is here!
Lauren is the newest addition to the Gayle Orth Catering Company. Catering is one of Lauren’s many passions. As an aspiring business owner Lauren is learning the ins and outs of planning and catering events. Sweet, as well as sassy, Lauren feels life is best spent laughing. God, family, and food are Lauren’s biggest passions.
Gary Harris, came to us from Florida 2 years ago and is our one-man wonder! When he’s not chopping, peeling, slicing or sautéing, he keeps the Gayle Orth Catering kitchen spotless. Gary is a great off-site server, a work horse on packing in and setting up events and his eternally sunny demeanor and can-do attitude are much appreciated. Respectful, generous and a great sense of humor, Gary is a very important and valued member of our team.
Margaret Garraughty, with more than 35 years experience, is Gayle Orth Catering’s former Lead Chef, Kitchen manager and Beverage manager. Cheerful, skilled, responsible and reliable, Margaret’s contributions are without measure!
Whether in our busy kitchen, off site Chef, Bartender, or off-site server, Margaret can handle any situation graciously and efficiently.
Although Margaret has been trying to retire for the last 5 years or more, she'll always come back to Gayle Orth to help out.
Margaret's Hawaiian heritage has instilled in her a genuine sense of hospitality, Ohana (family) and the Aloha Spirit, (Love and Peace for all).
Margaret is also a fabulous web designer, she is most gratefully credited for this new site.
